The All Okinawa Karatejutsu Rengokai is a group of karate-ka who regularly train in Okinawa, Japan. All members of this group either travel to or reside in Japan to train and maintain a connection to the source of karate. Becoming a member of the AOKR is a straightforward process, but we do require validation for our members. Although we are a non-profit organization and do not charge for our services, we will visit your sensei on Okinawa to verify your credentials. We exclusively accept karate styles that originated in Okinawa and do not consider those from mainland Japan or elsewhere. |
What are the benefits of joining the AOKR? First and foremost, we provide a means to validate an individual's rank and establish their legitimacy from an authentic Okinawan source. Once a member is approved, they can submit their student records to us, and we will include them in our global database for rank verification. This system allows anyone to verify credentials and ensures that individuals listed in our database are receiving authentic and verifiable training.
